Data Protection Guidelines

These data protection guidelines explain what information is accumulated by UNIGLAS GmbH from use of the Internet site, left by the user, or gathered if necessary and how we protect this data.

1. Basic Principle
The protection of personal data is an important matter for UNIGLAS GmbH. In the design of our online sites, we comply with the conditions of the German Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Teleservices Data Protection Act (TDDSG).

2. Differentiation of the Data
In the following, we make a distinction between personal and other data.

2.1 Personal Data
The term “personal data” is understood as referring to details of personal and objective circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person, e.g. name, address, telephone number or e-mail. In principle, you can use our Internet sites without revealing your identity. If you are interested in receiving our newsletter it is only necessary to enter your e-mail address. The provision of further information is voluntary, but allows us to address you personally.

Personal data is exclusively used by us to reply to your enquiries, to process an order or – provided we have your agreement in advance – to send you information by e-mail.

2.2 Other Data
All other data is automatically gathered data that is accumulated during use of the Internet site, but which is not personal data.

3. No Passing-On to Third Parties
Your personal data is used only within our company. No passing-on to third parties takes place. Excluded from this is conveying to authorised state authorities and law enforcement authorities, carried out in response to an order or request, in the event of a misuse of our online service, especially in the event of a deliberate attack on our system.

4. Technical Data Protection
We store your information on specially protected servers in Germany. Only a few specially authorised employees, obliged to secrecy by Uniglas GmbH, have access to it.

5. Use of Cookies
If you access our website, we deposit information on your computer in the form of a “cookie”.
If you refuse the use of cookies, we ask you to change the corresponding settings of your browser. You have the choice of refusing all cookies in general or of them only being saved after your approval has been given. Refusal of cookies does not restrict the use of our website. 6. Data collection
On this website, anonymous visitor data are collected and stored for optimisation and marketing purposes with the help of a tracking system. Cookies may be used for this operation. The collected data is used to construct user profiles under aliases. The data is not used to personally identify the users of the website. There is absolutely no link with the data to the owner of the alias. You can object to this data collection and storage at any time. This objection will be stored in your browser for future visits to the website.

7. Right of Access
In the event that personal data has been collected we undertake to always provide information on the stored data if you wish.
